A brilliant end to the residency for Léa Tirabasso

On Tuesday 9 November, the Théâtre des Cordeliers in Annonay hosted the preview of choreographer Léa Tirabasso’s show “Starving dingoes” in front of an enthusiastic audience and many professionals, partners of the choreographer, who came to support the outcome of a long creative process, finalised during her Annonay residency in France. Léa Tirabasso benefited from the programme “La Chapelle de la Danse”, initiated by the Compagnie La Baraka/Abou Lagraa in Annonay, supported by the Fonds culturel national, the TROIS C-L – Centre de Création Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois and Annonay Rhône Agglo En Scènes.

In this piece for five dancers, Léa Tirabasso explores the notion of consciousness as a curse: how does the awareness of our death foretold affect our lives? How does it push us towards madness, understood as creative marginality and life power, but also as the ability to see life and death clearly and truly.

The show is co-produced by Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg and will be presented there from 8 to 10 December 2021: a must-see!
