Klein and C’est Karma have been chosen to perform at select European festivals as part of Kultur lx’s partnership with the Excite network this year (dates to be announced). Excite is a highly-collaborative project between nine partner organisations based across Europe (BE, DE, DK, FI, LU, NO, NL, SE, UK) and leverages a dynamic mechanism to expedite the internationalisation of young artists and music businesses earlier in their careers and development. The delivery model is built around a core of ten partner festivals in their respective markets, with a small number of associated festivals and conferences in different territories – plus a curated stage which took place this year at The Great Escape in Brighton, UK.

As part of the network’s aim, Kultur lx works every year in conjunction with a local promoter to present one international Excite artist at a Luxembourg stage. This year, Kultur lx partnered with Koll an Aktioun to present Belgian-act, Indigo Mango, who will perform at the USINA22 Festival on Saturday, June 11th. USINA22 is a two-day open air festival which will take place at Neischmelz, Dudelange. Local and national cultural players will be given the opportunity to present their artistic program to a large audience in the context of Esch2022, where Esch-sur-Alzette along 18 neighbouring municipalities is the European Capital of Culture in 2022.

The line-up includes local artists like Francis of Delirium, Tuys, Sheebaba, Culture The Kid, Klein, and Claire Parsons, as well as emerging international artists and features the globally acclaimed American rock band Kings of Leon as the main headliner. The USINA22 festival brings together the biggest cultural players in Luxembourg’s cultural landscape on an unprecedented scale. More than a dozen key figures contribute to the festival and curate the artistical program of the two-day festival.

The USINA22 Festival collaborators include CCRD opderschmelz, den Atelier, De Gudde Wëllen, Rotondes, Kulturfabrik, Koll an Aktioun, Schungfabrik, Rocklab, Réckel by Lycée des Arts et Métiers, DKollektiv, Dudelange On Wheels, De Läbbel, Aalt Stadhaus, Itinerante.
