Focus on Michel Meis 4TET, 2021 Global Project Grant laureates for jazz

2021 Global Project Grant laureates in the jazz section, Michel Meis 4TET will continue to promote their album Kaboom, released on 28 May 2021 on Double Moon/Challenge Records, this autumn.
A veritable sonic explosion, offering music that is at once complex, playful, danceable and melancholic, and fully embracing a hybrid identity between the edginess of its rock-hardcore heritage and the complex, hushed rhythm of jazz, Kaboom, on which Michel Meis called on the services of the well-known violinist Theo Ceccaldi, has received a very favourable response in the international press.
Michel Meis gives a fresh touch by modernizing it with electro beats, navigating between compositions, improvisation and experimentation. JAZZ NEWS (FR)
