Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg, in collaboration with the CCRD opderschmelz, are delighted to invite you to its Jazz Focus taking place on May 12th and 13th in Dudelange, Luxembourg, in the framework of the festival Like a Jazz Machine. About 33,7
33,7, which will take place on 17 and 18 September 2022, is a gigantic musical cartography representing the eclectic population of southern Luxembourg and the neighbouring French towns. This diversity will be transcribed into 2022 minutes (33.7 hours!) of music commissioned or borrowed by United Instruments of Lucilin from composers of different nationalities represented on the territory of Esch2022.

Programme

Registration deadline: 16 August 2022

On the occasion of the Esch2022 – European Capital of culture, Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg invites you to discover a part of the VISUAL ARTS scene in Luxembourg during three days dedicated to artists’ meetings, exhibition visits and exchanges between professionals.

The programme will take place over three days, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May 2022.

A common thread: the post-industrial south of Luxembourg
The main theme of the programme of visits, located in the industrial and post-industrial south of Luxembourg, a cross-border area with multiple identities and questionings, will be based on the place of creativity in the possible futures of these territories undergoing reconversion.

Networking and discoveries
This focus will allow you to visit some of Esch2022’s exhibition highlights, industrial sites converted into hubs for creative companies or collaborative spaces for artists and citizens, or prominent museums and art centres. You will be able to make artists’ studio visits curated by Margot Delalande (curator, Frac Lorraine) and meet the teams of Esch2022, Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand- Duc Jean, Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain, Konschthal Esch – Espace d’art contemporain.
