Supporting the Luxembourgish cultural and creative sector is central to the mission of Kultur | lx.
In a continuous dialogue with the sector, Kultur | lx has put in place the tools required to best support creators and organisations at home and abroad. There are three core goals central to our mission : Career Development, Touring, and Promotion. The allocation of support must fit within the general objectives and specific criteria. It is important to familiarise yourself with our GUIDELINES before submitting an application for funding or before responding to a call. In addition to the general objectives, more specific criteria may be set out in each application related to the grant or support. These criteria should be given careful consideration.
Support is available throughout the year, as long as funds are available. Each type of support has its own deadlines and schedules for submitting applications. The terms are stipulated on the application form for the support in question. The support Kultur | lx currently offers:
Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg supports the dissemination of Luxembourg literature among the players of the book industry. The publishing support to foreign publishers for the publication of Luxembourgish authors aims to contribute to the international movement of Luxembourg’s literary creation.
Kultur | lx is taking over the translation support for foreign publishers that were previously allocated by the Ministry of Culture. The contribution to translation costs aims to pay for the growth and distribution of Luxembourg’s literary heritage by supporting foreign publishers in the translation of Luxembourg literature.
Financial assistance for Tour Support is intended for Luxembourgish professionals in the cultural sector who wish to perform on tour, at festivals, showcases or present their work at exhibitions abroad.
In order to help facilitate scouting of Luxembourgish talent, Kultur | lx helps organisations who want to invite foreign professionals to events and exhibitions.
This support is aimed at companies and organisations (galleries, publishers, associations) that want to take part in international events, such as trade shows and fairs, and whose programme(s) will include one or more Luxembourish artists.
The aim of this support is to increase the visibility and recognition of the Luxembourgish creative sector through the media, those working in the sector, and audiences abroad.
This support has been designed to facilitate international mobility with the goal to acquire knowledge or specific expertise.
Grants have calls for applications which may take place one or more times per year. Each call will specify the deadline for submitting applications and the date for notification of the results. The grants Kultur | lx currently offers:
