In order to support artists in their career development, Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg has set up a first workshop whose objective was to prepare artists to present their approach to professionals in different situations and through various media. On Wednesday 6th April 2022, 12 artists from Luxembourg were able to take part in the workshop dedicated to the presentation of their artistic approach to foreign professionals, organised by Kultur | lx at the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain.

Sophie Lanoë, is director of ëmisphères, an incubator for cultural projects and a registered training organisation. Sophie Lanoë is a regular speaker at various conferences and training sessions in highschools and institutions. She is the author of the annual Guide to Contemporary Art Awards. A price is priceless, published by ëmisphères, and NFT: Une mine d’or, les acteurs, published in April 2022.

Sophie Lanoë analysed the 12 participants’ portfolios and gave them advices on how to improve their readability and efficiency. From the use of images, to the layout of the document, to the question of presentation texts, she reviewed all the issues of this indispensable tool. She then considered the studio visit and oral communication situations, an important moment for artists when it comes to expanding their network.
